Peace on Earth

Peace is easy to admire and difficult to keep. It can seem secure while health, relationships, finances and plans are behaving themselves, then quickly disappear when one of them shifts.

Peace on Earth looks at the Christmas promise from another direction. When the angels announced peace at Jesus’ birth, they were announcing the arrival of the Prince of Peace Himself. The booklet follows that conviction through Scripture: peace with God through Christ, peace that guards the mind in anxiety, the presence of Jesus in trouble and the future reconciliation His kingdom brings.

Alongside Our Daily Bread reflections are Bible readings, prayers and collections of verses to return to when your own circumstances feel less than peaceful. Following Jesus doesn't remove difficulties. Peace is found in the character and presence of a Saviour who remains when circumstances do not.

A shared invitation

At Our Daily Bread Ministries, we want to accompany people into Scripture as it speaks to the pressures they experience. Donations make it possible for us to offer resources like Peace on Earth without charge, so someone can receive them precisely when they are needed.
