Walking with the King

December can pass in a blur of preparation, travel and crowded diaries. Walking with the King offers another rhythm for the month: opening the Bible each day and keeping company with the Christ whose birth Christmas celebrates.

This extended devotional begins with Immanuel, “God with us”, and follows Jesus beyond Bethlehem into His life, teaching, suffering, death and resurrection. Its central conviction is companionship: the King of the world chose to walk among His people, and through Christ we are invited to walk with Him still. The readings move through themes including hope, joy, God’s presence and the fulfilment found in Jesus, bringing the Christmas story into conversation with the wider Gospel account.
