Some defied evil kings, saved nations, clung to God’s promises, led out armies and changed history with their prayers. Others survived abuse, raised families alone, had unloving husbands or suffered a bad reputation. And some simply used their beauty and brains to take whatever they wanted from this world—to their ruin.

The Women of the Bible at a Glance introduces women from across the Old and New Testaments as people shaped by faith, failure, courage, grief, ambition, injustice, obedience and grace. Some, such as Hagar, endured circumstances they had little power to change. Others, like Rebekah or Jezebel, offer cautionary examples. Each short profile points you back to the relevant Bible passages so that the guide becomes a doorway into the Bible.
